Philodendron 'Warscewiczii'

These Philodendrons originated in Central America, and are found growing naturally in tropical forests over rocks. Leaves of this species grow from thin, blade-like stems with feathery leaves on top. If you're lucky enough to see a Philodendron Warszewiczii in bloom, the flowers are stunning white! Philodendron Warszewiczii has been a well-loved tropical plant since it was discovered in 1855.

PLANT CARE:
• Warszewiczii needs bright shade conditions. This plant thrives in filtered dappled sunlight
• Its tropical origins require prolonged exposure to light (70-85% sunlight)
• It is necessary for green foliage to be exposed in order to prepare chlorophyll
• Philodendron warszewiczii tolerates drought well. With optimal watering, it stays evergreen. However, it is found growing on rocks that barely retain water in the drier parts of the rainforests
• Like most philodendrons, these plants are susceptible to root rot
• Your climatic zone must consistently have temperatures over 60°F at night and 85°F
• Colder than 55°F (12.75°C) causes it to perish. They are very sensitive to cold, so you should always move them indoors in winter. Growth slows down in any case.
• Warsawiczii plant loves mugginess. Humidity really helps them thrive, so they don't even need as much water. 
• Toxic to pets if consumed
